A Break with Mother Nature

I was feeling a little out of sorts today. I felt very much out of alignment and a bit anxious. I was unable to concentrate as my mind was in 1001 different places all at once. I decided to take a walk around my yard, and upon doing so, I gathered some seeds from various flower beds. After my walk, I sorted all my planting gear and supplies on my garden table so once my workday is over, I can head out on the deck to help seeds start their journey. Isn’t it amazing how we take seeds from a “dead” flower to start its lifecycle all over again. We forget that out of death can arise a new journey, a new perspective, a new idea, a new job, a new friend, a new understanding, and a new extension of what was.
I was outside frolicking in the yard for about 20 minutes and that’s all it took to feel refreshed and ready to tackle the rest of my day. Nature can heal us, Nature can ground us, Nature can relieve stress and calm anxiety. So GET OUT and go play with Mother Nature!

That's Penny, one of the cats that my family has saved. She is a firecracker.
